Microsoft Paint Alternative?

Are you looking for Microsoft Paint alternative? Maybe Paint is too simple for you, but you don’t like to load a CPU-demanding application like Photoshop or Gimp just to perform a simple image editing. If you are just like me, I recommend you to use Paint.NET as the replacement for Microsoft Paint.
I’ve been using Paint.NET since version 2.x (can’t remember the specific version, 2.7 I think). The latest version as this post is written is 3.36. Paint.NET is a simple, yet powerful graphic editing program. You can perform simple to almost-advanced image editing with Paint.NET.
Paint.NET supports layers, blending, transparency, and plugins. The feature of Paint.NET that I like the most (and not in Paint) is layers. Layers make the graphic editing process easier especially when you trying to draw and possitioning simple objects, texts and shapes. Besides that, Paint.NET also supports some advanced effect and tools such as magnetic lasso, Hue/Saturation, Motion Blur, Pencil Sketch and many more. Paint.NET also supports DLL-file plugins, which add image adjustments, effects, and support for additional file types. Paint.NET is multicore aware so you can utilize your multicore CPU when working with Paint.NET. You couldn’t ask more from a free software!

After a few days releasing DotA Allstars 6.58b AI+ 1.52, Port of RGB’s AI+ for 6.48b (Revision 2), BuffMePlz had released the latest RGB’s AI+ port for DotA Allstars 6.59. This time, he took not even a day to release the AI+ port to the latest DotA map. You can use this map to practice or trying a new hero build before playing in a pub game. Known bugs with AI:
-AI don’t properly react to -nb, -nm and -nt modes

How to Securely Delete Files to Prevent Data Recovery/Undelete

In my previous post, I’ve shown you that a deleted file can be easily recovered if it is not securely deleted. When we are deleting a file that contains sensitive data, of course we don’t want the file to be seen by other people. When we delete a file using the normal method in Windows, the file will be marked as deleted but it is actually still on the disk until the file is overwritten with a new data. Secure deletion is very important when we are dealing with deleting a private file.
Eraser is a freeware tools that allows you to perform a secure deletion when deleting a sensitive file. Eraser allows you to completely remove sensitive data from your hard drive by overwriting it several times with carefully selected patterns. This will effectively remove the magnetic remnants from the hard disk making it impossible to recover the data.
How to Securely Delete Files With Eraser
1. Using Eraser is very simple. After you run Eraser, you will be presented with the simple interface of Eraser.
2. Open Windows Explorer and just click and drag the files or folders that you want to delete into Eraser window (1).
3. Deleting files using the default overwritting method is sufficient.

Update Firefox and Opera Search Bar With Google’s New Favicon

Quick tips. On 9 January 2009, Google started to use new favicon on its sites. In this post, you will find how to change the old Google’s favicon to the new one in Firefox and Opera, if you feel like changing it.
Mozilla Firefox
You can update the Firefox’s default Google search plugin to show the new Google search icon:
1. Download this updated version of the Google search plugin (right click to save).
2. Copy it to your searchplugins folder in your Firefox install folder (usually in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins on Windows), and overwrite the existing google.xml file.
3. Save the file and restart Firefox.

How to Recover/Undelete Accidentally Deleted Files With NTFS Undelete

Do you ever faced a situation where you accidently deleted your documents or music files? Stay calm and don’t panic! You can actually recover the deleted data as long as the data is not overwritten. The sooner you try to recover the deleted data, the chance for the recovery to be successful is high. When a file is deleted, the content of the file is physically remains intact on the storage, but the occupied space will be marked as free. Next file saved to the disk may overwrite the contents of the deleted file. When you are tying to recover/undelete a deleted file, it is very important to make sure that no application writes to the drive or partition where deleted file is located since every new file (even a small one) may overwrite the deleted file.
In this post, I will show you how to recover/undelete deleted files with NTFS Undelete. NTFS Undelete is free and open source software that allows you to recover deleted files. It recovers files directly from hard drive, and it will work even if you empty Recycle Bin. The interface of NTFS Undelete is very clean, simple and easy to use.
In this post, I will try to recover a 1.36GB avi video file with MD5 file hash value of 433D8874F02D09FB110233EC725B900F (to check if the recovered file is 100% same as the deleted file). The partition that contained the deleted file is quite fragmented. The file is deleted without moving it to the recycle bin (Shift+Delete).
- First of all, you need to download NTFS Undelete. I recommend you to download the portable version (ZIP archive).

In my previous post, Thunder BitTorrent Client is one of the bittorrent client that can be used to bypass TMNet traffic shaping. While the application’s language is in Chinese, HeHeHunter had released the English translation pack for Thunder/Xunlei. The portable version of Thunder/Xunlei now can be downloaded from HeHeHunter’s blog. The portable version contains no advertisements unlike the original version. The size of Thunder/Xunlei portable is now smaller, only 25MB compared with previous version which was 38MB.

Have you ever faced the problem to find the exact hardware drivers name when you want to install them? If you are working as computer technician, it will be quite a problem to find hardware drivers for the systems that you are not familiar with. One of the solution is to open the computer casing and look for the hardware brands or motherboard name (if you are installing on board driver). Another easy way is by using HWiNFO32.
HWiNFO32, as the description given by the developer is a professional hardware information and diagnostic tool supporting latest components, industry technologies and standards. Watch TV Online With InternetTV

InternetTV is a small program that allows you to watch online TV channels on your PC. InternetTV installer is only 763 KB and after installed, InternetTV only takes around 1.22MB of your hard drive space. With InternetTV, you can watch over 5000 online TV stations from around the world. InternetTV uses Windows Media Player to play TV stations.
InternetTV has a very simple interface, so it is very easy to use. On the right panel is the list of TV channels. You can sort the list by name, genre, rating or bitrate. By right clicking on the channel list, you can add the channel to favorites list, rate and flag the channel. If your favorite TV channel is not on the list, you can manually add it to InternetTV if you know its streaming URL. You can filter the TV channels by country if you want to watch TV channels from specific country.
