Installed Windows Vista Service Pack 1
I've successfully installed Release to Manufacturing (RTM) version of Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista. This version will be the exact same version which will appear in March final version. The installation of the service pack took about 1 hour. During the installation process, Windows restarted for quite a few times (3 times I think, and I still don't understand why it needs so much restart).
My Windows Vista is an *ehem2* version, and yet, it is still functioning after the installation of service pack.
For those who need to *ehem2* their Windows Vista, try this. OEM_BIOS_Emulation_Toolkit_For_Microsoft_Windows_Vista_X86.v1.0-PARADOX
Er, I forgot where I found this, if you need the x64 version, you need to find it on your own. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Sticking back to the topic, here are the changes in Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (from Wikipedia):
- new hardware and software standards, notably the exFAT file system
- 802.11n wireless networking
- IPv6 over VPN connections
- Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol
- An updated version of Windows Installer is included that provides support for multi-package transactions and embedding the user interface of a child Windows Installer package inside a parent installation session
- Booting a system using Extensible Firmware Interface on x64 systems is also being introduced; his feature had originally been slated for the initial release of Vista but was delayed due to a lack of compatible hardware at the time.
- An update to DirectX 10, named DirectX 10.1
- The Group Policy Management Console is being replaced by the Group Policy Object Editor
