Disabling Opera BitTorrent Download
Since version 9, Opera has built in bittorrent download manager, and by default, Opera will ask you if you want to use the built in bittorrent download manager to download files from bittorrent network when you’ve downloaded a .torrent file. This is quite annoying since we cannot save the .torrent file to be use in our favourite bittorrent client.
If you are new to Opera web browser, here are the simple steps to disable the built in bittorrent download manager in Opera. Open a new tab in Opera. type about:config (1) in the address. Click ‘BitTorrent’ (2), untick ‘Enable’ (3), and hit ‘Save’ (4). Just as simple as that, and you’ve disabled the built in bittorrent download manager in Opera. Now, .torrent file will be treated as a normal file that can be downloaded.
