3. Installing Kubuntu in VirtualBox
11. Press 'Start' (20) to start the virtual machine. Your virtual machine will be started.
12. Next, choose the language and press Enter. Please take note that when you click inside the virtual machine, the virtual machine will capture your mouse and keyboard input. To release mouse and keyboard from virtual machine, you can press the host key, which is the right CTRL key on your keyboard.
13. Choose the second option, 'Install Kubuntu' (21) to install Kubuntu in the virtual machine and press Enter.
14. Kubuntu will load the installation files. Next, choose the language (22) to be used in Kubuntu installation process and press 'Forward' (23).
15. Next, choose your time zone and press 'Forward' (24) to proceed.
16. Choose the your keyboard layout and press 'Forward' (25) to proceed.
17. Next, we will choose how Kubuntu will partition the hard disk. Since we are installing in virtual machine, we can choose the default option, 'Use the entire disk' (26). Press 'Forward' (27) to proceed.
18. In the next step, you will need to enter your login information and computer name to be used in Kubuntu. You can choose login automatically to Kubuntu (28) or prompt for a username and password. Press 'Forward' (29) to continue. Press 'Install' (30) to start Kubuntu installation. The installation process will take some time depending on your system speed.
19. After the installation is finished, you will be asked to reboot the virtual machine. We will need to unmount the Kubuntu CD image first and after that we will install the VirtualBox Guest Additions on our newly installed Kubuntu. On this screen, click 'Machine' > 'Close' (31). Choose 'Power off the machine' (32) and click 'OK' to shut down the virtual machine.
