Sending File From Devices to Laptop/PC via Bluetooth

This post will tell you on how to send files from mobile devices (hand phone for example) to your laptop/PC via Bluetooth. This will be helpful if you lost your hand phone cable for example.

First, make your computer visible via Bluetooth so that other devices can find your computer using Bluetooth. To do this, right click on the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar and choose ‘Open Bluetooth Settings’. Go to ‘Options’ tab, and tick ‘Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer’.

Then, right click the Bluetooth icon again on the taskbar, choose ‘Receive a File’. The ‘Bluetooth Transfer Wizard’ dialog will show up. Using you mobile device, search for your computer via Bluetooth, and select the file that you want to send.

Your computer name will use the same name as your computer network name. (You can check this in properties of ‘My Computer’)

Then, wait for the file to be transferred. After the transfer finished, choose the location where you want to save the file.
